Summary of Role:
Summary of Role: Manage monthly PAYE payroll for UK and Ireland employees, ensuring accurate processing. Handle HMRC returns, provide payroll advice, and prepare statistical reports. Perform HR administration tasks including sickness monitoring, dosimeter readings, and support for starters and leavers.
Monthly Tasks:
* Process payroll using MHR ITrent system.
* Calculate salaries, overtime, allowances, and bonuses.
* Manage pension contributions, auto enrolment, and opt-outs.
* Handle starters, leavers, P45s, payslips, and statutory leave.
* Process deductions, tax codes, student loans, and childcare vouchers.
* Ensure compliance with national minimum wage and HMRC legislation.
* Run separate payroll for Ireland and submit figures to ROS.
* Submit RTI to HMRC, including FPS & EPS.
* Prepare payroll journals and pension exports.
* Monitor sickness and absence, request doctors' notes, and report to management.
Annual Tasks:
* Submit P11D(b) and P60s to HMRC.
* Gender pay gap reporting and annual survey of hours.
* Update PMI rates and ensure benefit-in-kind rates are set.
* Pension re-enrolment declaration every 3 years.
Ad Hoc Tasks:
* Handle interim and special payments.
* Provide payroll advice and on-demand reports.
* Conduct internal and external audits.
* Organize external information sessions on pensions, EV cars, etc.
Essential Requirements:
* Excellent Excel knowledge.
* Experience running monthly payroll and HMRC submissions.
* Preferable MHR ITrent experience.
* Strong communication skills.
* Understanding of GDPR and confidentiality.
* Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.
* Team player with high attention to detail.
