About the role
Balfour Beatty is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Document Controller to join our Major Projects Team, based at Hinkley Point, Bridgwater.
Hinkley Point C is a multi-billion-pound nuclear power station that stands as a cornerstone of the UK’s energy future. This landmark project will play a crucial role in meeting the UK’s energy needs and driving sustainable progress.
As a Senior Document Controller, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the project documentation and records.
What you'll be doing
Some key responsibilities will be:
* Utilise a project information management system within Business Collaborator (BC), in line with both company and quality control procedures (BS EN ISO:9001).
* Focusing on all technical and contractual documentation produced throughout the lifecycle of the project from all interested parties.
* Manage the configuration and administration of Business Collaborator, to maintain a successfully functioning system at all times.
* Manage BC user accounts and subsequent access rights, ensuring you safeguard the privacy and security of information stored within the system.
* Manage the processes necessary for timely appropriate document submissions.
* Manage the integration of all project documentation through approved workflows, carrying out QA checks and releasing/distributing information.
* Monitor the process of interactive issuing and subsequent commenting/review of technical information.
Who we're looking for
To join us in this role, ideally you will have some or most of the following:
* Experience of document control in Major Civil Engineering projects, along with experience of information management in the UK Nuclear sector.
* Relevant CSCS Card.
* IOSH Working Safely or equivalent.
* Extensive knowledge of working within systems and procedures.
