We have an exciting opening for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our busy BI team and become involved with a variety of work including national reporting of returns and more complex project work.

Main duties of the job
Duties include:
* Analysis and development of accurate, insightful reports for a range of stakeholders.
* Compilation and submission of many of the Trust's statutory returns in a timely and accurate manner.
* Interpretation and presentation of focussed information to support the Trust's operational performance management and to inform decision-making within the Trust.
This role is based primarily at Darent Valley Hospital, a modern PFI hospital with friendly and supportive colleagues, all sharing the same values to offer professional care, exceptional quality.

Principal responsibilities:
* Undertake analysis of data to support the defined work programme agreed with the BI manager.
* Undertake analysis of data to support and respond to ad-hoc requests.
* Assist with weekly/daily reporting such as A&E Performance (SitRep) and 18wk PTLs.
* Aid senior analysts in reporting to the Executive team.
* Assist with timely data collection to support the submission of all national, regional and local activity returns.
* Assist with data quality monitoring analysis and reporting.
* Co-ordinate and summarise information from other departments.
* Work autonomously, plan and prioritise own workload.
* Assist in interpreting analyses and adding intelligence by communicating complicated, difficult to explain IM&T issues to non-IM&T staff.
* Promote understanding of NHS Data Definitions, Models and Relationships and co-ordinate the implementation of any definitional changes released nationally.
