Strategic Partners Director This is a great job for someone who has experience selling to the financial planning market and an understanding of the key strategic partner firms, including consultative selling. A bit about the job: We have a phenomenal opportunity to work in our Wholesale Distribution team to drive our Strategic Partnerships with IFAs, Discretionary Fund Managers and Wealth Management firms in the UK. Within the role, you will be responsible for developing strategic partnership channel and business development opportunities with key IFA consolidators, large national, networks and emerging advisory businesses. You will need to have a strong consultative selling skills to build solutions for Strategic Partners. You will be bringing the best of Aviva Investor’s capabilities to the client, including its discretionary MPS solutions or single strategy investment vehicles as componentry to client’s MPS and working collaboratively with the discretionary sales team. In addition to this the role allows you to work with Sales Support and sales management teams to ensure all Strategic Partnership leads are followed up effectively. The role also provides the opportunity to seek out and engage new business opportunities with firms unknown to Aviva Investors. Skills and experience we’re looking for: Experience with developed relationships with key consolidators and national, network IFA firms. Sales experience to build and develop new relationships and hunt for new opportunities. Strong solutions mindset to understand developing propositions and service models to support sales initiative. Competent and confident presenter, comfortable travelling nationwide to deliver training sessions. A commercial mindset and sales focused attitude – keen to think outside of the box when it comes to strategic account planning. This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
