Our client is an innovative Fintech company in thefinancial services sector widely recognized for their cuttingedgeCRM platform that powers marketleading products for bothresidential and B2B customers.
Due to continuous yearonyeargrowth they are expanding their finance team and seeking aFinancial Controller to lead financial processesprovide strategic advice and contribute to the companys futuresuccess.
TheOpportunity:
As the FinancialController you will work closely with the ManagingDirector and the CFO overseeing grouplevel accounting activitiesfor the business. You will play a critical role in redefiningfinancial processes managing reporting and ensuring that financialoperations run smoothly. This is a fully remote role but applicantsmust reside within the UK.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Complete themonthend process reconciliations variance analysis and produceconsolidated management accounts for thegroup.
* AccountingOversight: Manage all financial reporting tax and auditrequirements including quarterly and annual accounts transactions(accounts payable to receivable) and operationalfinance.
* ProcessDevelopment: Develop and implement financial policiesprocedures and internal controls across the group ensuringcompliance and efficiency.
* Accounts Receivable/Payable: Overseethe full cycle of accounts receivable and payable from invoicing toreceipt.
* Payroll &HMRC Compliance: Manage the payroll function to ensuretimely and accurate processing and take responsibility for HMRCsubmissions including RTI PAYE quarterly tax instalments and VATreturns.
* StrategicCollaboration: Work closely with the CFO on financeimprovement projects and assist with adhoc requirements includingidentifying costsaving initiatives.
Requirements
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA /CIMA).
* Degreelevel educationideally in Maths Economics or a relatedfield.
* Proven ability to improvefinancial processes and internal controls.
* Strong understanding of operational requirements and theability to translate them into financial metrics targets andbudgets.
* Experience managingfinancial relationships and being involved in commercialnegotiations.
* Advanced Excel skillsand financial modelling/budgeting experience are highlydesirable.
* A proactive approach tocostsaving and rationalisation initiatives.
