Applications are invited for the role of Teaching Office Administrator to join the administrative team in the Teaching Office at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), Department of Engineering, in West Cambridge. The Manufacturing Engineering Tripos (MET) is a 3rd and 4th year undergraduate programme which provides a sound theoretical basis in manufacturing technology, manufacturing engineering and business management, coupled with the repeated experience of putting theory into practice via a series of projects. The MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management (ISMM), is the main full time postgraduate course at the IfM. The role-holder will assist the MET and ISMM Teaching Coordinators across a range of teaching office functions, providing administrative support for both these courses, and will be one of the key points of contact for potential and existing ISMM and MET students and staff. You will be educated to degree standard/Level 6 Vocational qualification or an equivalent level of practical experience, and possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be competent in the use of standard software packages and will have previous administrative experience, preferably gained in an environment which supports teaching or examinations. You should be able to work with a high level of accuracy and have good attention to detail. Knowledge of key University of Cambridge systems, together with experience of working in a customer-service focused environment, would be advantageous. A driving licence is essential, as is experience of driving minibuses as this is a required aspect of the role.
