Building Performance Engineer
As a maintenance engineer, would you like to get away from the daily repetitive jobs and start fixing your building and making it run as it was meant to when it was first designed?
As a Building Performance Engineer, your career will be focused on the importance of energy management and the simple ways to control consumption within the BMS and plant systems.
By utilizing analytics platforms and monitoring of the BMS headend, you will be able to identify trends and rectify areas of energy over usage and wastage of energy.
This is a unique Engineering role that will appeal to a Senior or Lead Engineer or Supervisor who has been involved in building services maintenance and Facilities Management and has a fascination with problem-solving and looking at the root cause of energy fluctuations within a modern building environment.
In this role, you will be autonomous in how you manage your daily activities and you will be a part of the daily engineering activities of the day shift maintenance team in this busy commercial office environment, but your specific task will be to monitor the energy consumption of the plant and to analyze spikes and increases across the plant.

You will be joining a brand new maintenance contract with a service provider who has been awarded a three-year initial contract.
Responsibilities of the Building Performance Engineer
1. Reviewing and managing the weekly Energy reports from the BMS of all HVAC plant.
2. Ensuring that all statutory building compliance is upheld.
3. Managing the allocation of resources to attend to high energy consumption, breakdowns, and failure of Mechanical and Electrical Plant.
4. Providing in-depth technical support to the engineering team.
5. To become the Approved Person on Electrical and Mechanical systems.
About You as the Building Performance Engineer
1. Electrical Qualified Engineer, ideally apprentice trained.
2. Electrical biased with Multi-Skilled experience.
3. Extensive experience with BMS.
4. Experienced in managing or supervising large scale building services applications.
5. Desire to progress in your career.
This is a very busy commercial office facility with a large resident engineering team and full management backup and administrative support.
The hours are 08:00 - 17:00.
