The role We are currently recruiting 2 Stock Condition Surveyors across the South East region of Orbit's property portfolio. The patch will be divided between the two successful surveyors geographically to cover the areas of South London, Kent and East Sussex. This role is part of Property where you'll help us to lead the way investing and maintaining 46,000 homes. What you'll achieve This role will aim to help drive performance across our property portfolio, and to ensure the integrity and reliability of our data is maintained in order for us to meet the compliance requirements around stock condition and asset management. You will undertake surveys, relating to the condition of housing stock, that will inform strategic investment decisions, in addition to determining the age and lifetime of key building components to help us build long term planned programmes of work. Manage Stock Condition Surveys by assessing the condition and life expectancy of the attributes based on a conditional maintenance approach Carry out dynamic Housing Health and Safety Rating System assessments Liaise with the Repairs and Property Management teams to report any repairs Carry out EPC Surveys to ensure that we are able to meet our target of EPC band C by 2030. Advise the Carbon and Operations teams following a site survey Undertake additional training and development around PAS2035, RdSAP and other relevant development Work to ensure that we meet our statutory requirements such as Decent Homes or HHSRS Utilise your condition surveys and knowledge to inform strategic investment decisions What you'll bring Essential skills Educated to HNC, NVQ3 or higher in a property related subject or a relevant professional qualification Relevant industry experience performing stock condition surveys, attributes and lifecycles A knowledge of environmental and property legislation, focusing on housing is essential. Knowledge of environmental and property legislation Ability to communicate with customers and be a good advocate of Orbit and its values Ability to travel Desirable skills PAS2035 knowledge (ideally qualified) Experience of delivering EPC surveys and be DEA assessor qualified.
