Based at East Point Academy, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the overall progress and development of Year 11 students as a Maths tutor. The successful candidate will ideally have teaching experience and an understanding of the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of students.
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
* Monitoring and supporting overall progress and development of students as a tutor, contributing to raising standards of student attainment.
* Facilitating and encouraging a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
* Sharing and supporting the School's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Maths qualification equivalent to Degree level.
* Qualified Teacher Status (desirable).
* Experience of teaching in a secondary Academy.
* Knowledge of the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all students.
* Experience in monitoring, assessing, recording, and reporting pupils’ progress.
