The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Associate Lecturer in Digital to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in digital technologies, programming, and web development who are passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation of digital innovators. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality teaching across various digital subjects, with a focus on programming, software development, and web development. Develop and deliver engaging course content that meets the needs of diverse learners. Provide academic support and mentorship to students, helping them to achieve their full potential. Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the digital curriculum. Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and other activities that support the academic mission of UA92. You will need to have good knowledge in two or more of the following areas: 1-Programming and software development (e.g. Python, Java, C++, C#) 2-Web development and digital marketing Knowledge of front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular) and familiarity with back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Django, PHP) Skills in digital marketing tools and techniques (such as SEO, Google Analytics, and content management systems like WordPress). 3-Networking and cybersecurity. Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching) 4-Database systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) 5-Cloud computing (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Computer Science, Digital Technology, or a related field is essential. A postgraduate qualification and/or industry certifications would be advantageous. Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting is desirable but not essential.
