The Post We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant for the post of Lecturer in Education (Secondary Mathematics). The post holder will have teaching expertise and experience in secondary mathematics teaching and will be registered as a teacher by the General Teaching Council for Scotland, or eligible for full registration. They will contribute to the ITE programme both in the specialist area and more widely, including in a leadership role for the ITE programme. They will also have the potential to contribute to other Education programmes including the University’s Access to Degree Studies programme and postgraduate taught programmes. Applicants should demonstrate understanding of and commitment to a blended approach to teaching and to pedagogical innovation. The post holder will be passionate about learning and teaching, committed to the highest standards in relation to student experience and will have a growing reputation for scholarship, with the potential to contribute substantively to scholarly activities across the Education Division and the Faculty of Social Sciences. Notably, there are opportunities to engage with scholarship activities with colleagues focusing on curriculum, professional learning and social justice, including through the Stirling Centre for Research into Curriculum Making and the Education Division’s four Research Groups.
