We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Southend-on-Sea. This full-time, temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students and support them in developing essential numeracy and problem-solving skills.
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, ensuring students build confidence in GCSE and A-Level Mathematics. You will be working within a supportive school environment, helping students reach their full potential through structured learning strategies and personalised support.
This role is ideal for a motivated and passionate educator who is committed to student success and innovative teaching. While experience is desirable, it is not essential, as full training and professional development will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and structured Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Teach mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.
* Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
* Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs and promote engagement.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and personalised support.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership to enhance the Maths curriculum.
* Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement in line with school policies.
* Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level standards.
* Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
* A passion for engaging students through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
