I’m a female living at home with my assistant dog Jessi. I’m outgoing; I work in patient and public involvement in health research for University of Nottingham and Nottingham University Hospitals.
Location
Nottingham, East Midlands
Ref#
SOLOCKZ
Info
I have a spinal cord injury (broken neck) and am therefore paralysed. I have limited use of my arms and hands. I need support in most aspects of my life; if you need to do something for yourself and your environment it is likely you will need to help me with it!
I want to have quality of life with care and support to maintain my interests and provide my needs. I love my bungalow and need someone who has an eye for detail when carrying out domestic duties to try to keep it nice and things in order.
I am looking for Personal Assistants to deliver person-centred care and help me live my life to the fullest. I am seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join my team.
The ideal candidate does not have to have experience in care, as full training will be provided. You must be able to support with my assistant dog, work independently following my routines, think on the job regarding my condition, and be willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to domestic support such as cooking, ironing, and cleaning, as well as undertaking short journeys to places like the pharmacy, shops, or vets.
You must have a clean and valid driver’s licence, be able to use your own vehicle for work, and potentially be willing to learn to drive my Mercedes Sprinter.
It is important that you are open-minded and get to know how best to support me. Flexibility is crucial, as I live a busy life where no two days are the same, and there may be times when I require support at different times during the day.
You will be employed by Solo Support Services but will liaise with me on day-to-day matters.

* Flexibility to work to meet my needs (you may be required to do sleep-ins if necessary).

* Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
