Andersen James are supporting a national housing association with their search for a Maintenance Surveyor based in the Southeast. The Maintenance Surveyor role is primarily responsible for providing a responsive repair and void surveying service for a housing organisation. The position involves managing repairs, analysing building defects, preparing specifications, and ensuring all properties meet high maintenance standards whilst complying with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role emphasises delivering excellent customer service to staff, residents, leaseholders, and property owners. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a building surveyor in a maintenance environment. They will be responsible for monitoring contractor performance, conducting health and safety checks, managing complaints, and accurately updating records. The role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge of construction and building regulations, and the ability to work independently while managing a demanding workload.
