We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with company standards. This role involves leading and training team members, coordinating production workflow, and collaborating with management to resolve challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in small parts assembly, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a regulated environment. This is a 2nd shift position with working hours from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
1. Act as qualified trainer of those with less experience to ensure detailed assembly process and procedures are closely followed.
2. Give direction to fellow colleagues on priorities and daily workflow requirements, and conduct supervision of others on the team.
3. Collaborate with Production Manager to ensure that production line runs smoothly, including anticipating challenges and offering solutions to Production Group Leads.
4. Fill in on production floor, when necessary, in any area.
5. Coordinate with Team Leads to ensure product counts are accurate and reported in a timely way.
6. Perform quality work checks to ensure product meets quality standards.
7. Comply with policies, guidelines and safety and regulatory requirements per Lexington Medical Quality System.
8. Complete all administrative functions relating to business or regulatory requirements.
9. Escalate problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to Management.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to manipulate small hand tools and assemble small mechanical parts.
2. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
3. Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
4. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
5. Specific vision requirements include close vision and vision.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Ability to Lead a team.
3. Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
4. Strong written and oral communications skills.
5. Well organized, detail oriented.
6. Familiarity with office computer programs.
7. Small parts assembly experience strongly preferred.
8. Medical device or other regulated industry experience a plus.
9. Cleanroom experience a plus.
