Position Purpose: The BI Technical Lead's role is to design and implement BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses in line with business strategy. This includes selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements, designing, and rolling out BI solutions to end users. The BI Tech Lead is also responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing. The role requires communication with all internal stakeholders including a team of BI developers. Key Job Activities: Leads design, implementation and maintenance of data models, ETL processes, reporting, BI and analytics solutions. Responsible for document repository e.g. star schemas, bus matrices, DFDs etc. Perform source data analysis – data profiling, validation, conceptual and logical data modeling. Provide guidance and hands-on technical expertise in designing and building solutions that unlock the value of data for our business users. Proven ability to challenge solutions to assure best results for the business. Experience supporting upgrades and version management, including testing and migration planning. Leads and participates in projects related to business intelligence. Working with DBA Team to identify performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal performance. Leads the development of best practices for use of business intelligence tools and optimised data structures. Education: Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience (EMEAA): Preferred Education: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or any other Information Technology-related discipline. Required Years of Experience: 5 years Targeted experience with financial systems, transportation logistics, warehousing, and/or telephony systems are desirable.
