Join our team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR).
This role focuses on outbound lead generation, qualification, and early-stage engagement to identify potential customers for the sales team. They are critical in the sales process, primarily responsible for prospecting and engaging with potential clients.
As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Internal and External Sales teams by identifying, qualifying, and progressing sales opportunities within our extensive CRM database, through proactive outreach in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
Based at our headquarters in Wombourne, Wolverhampton, you will have daily contact with our customers regarding maintenance contracts renewals, converting ‘win-back’ opportunities, and generating new business opportunities and leads through outbound prospecting across the entire SSG portfolio.
With an extensive existing footprint as the UK Nurse Call market-leader in the Acute Healthcare Sector, you will be in contact with our NHS and Private Healthcare customers, as well as their chosen Facilities, Electrical and Tier-1 Build Contractors.
Responsibilities:
1. Progress Live Opportunities:
Review and actively manage a CRM database of live opportunities, ensuring that leads are nurtured and converted. Liaising with the relevant account managers for follow-up as and when required.
2. Maintenance Contracts:
Identify and target expiring maintenance contracts, offering renewals, upgrades, or conversions to ensure client retention and continued business.
3. Convert Win-back Contracts:
Engage with lapsed customers to convert win-back maintenance contracts, re-establishing relationships and presenting compelling offers to bring them back on board.
4. Prospecting Calls:
Conduct outbound calls to potential customers within the NHS, private healthcare, and custodial sectors. Qualify new business opportunities and schedule appointments for account managers to discuss tailored solutions.
5. Lead Generation:
Proactively research and generate new leads through prospecting activities and maintain accurate records of all interactions in the CRM system. Maintain and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects.
6. Collaborate with Account Managers:
Work closely with account managers to ensure smooth handover of leads, assist in developing strategies for targeting key sectors, and provide valuable insights from customer interactions.
7. Promote SSG’s Latest Offerings:
Stay up to date with SSG’s latest products, services, and market trends. Present and promote these offerings during calls to generate interest and secure opportunities for account managers.
Skills/Experiences:
* A motivated and results-driven individual.
* Proven experience in an SDR, lead generation, or a similar role.
* Persistence and resilience in outbound prospecting and overcoming objections. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work with large databases and prioritize leads effectively.
* Strong understanding of the NHS, private healthcare, and custodial sectors is a plus, although not essential.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
* Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
