Role purpose
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to work on one of our Thames Water contracts. We are appointed the principal contractor & principal designer for a key portfolio of WSW improvements based from Kent to the Isle of White of England.
This is an exciting venture for Bridges and brings with it the opportunity to work on a programme of works that is strategic to the business delivery with one of our valued clients. You will have the chance to take a lot of ownership of the project, with support from the contract manager and various internal stakeholders.
During the construction phase, the project manager will be expected to visit the sites frequently. Although working from home can be flexible, there will be expectations to come to our South East bases in Maidstone & Client Falmer offices.
This role would suit a project manager looking to take the next steps into a senior project management capacity. Looking to work with a dynamic, open and progressive team looking to continue to deliver against our business objectives.
Role overview
As a Project Manager at Bridges, you will oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects from inception to completion. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Your leadership will be pivotal in coordinating resources, managing timelines, and navigating challenges to achieve outstanding results.
The Role
Contracted to 42.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday.
1. Contractual management, enabling the delivery of the project
2. Management of staff and subcontractors working on assigned projects
3. Taking responsibility for the health & safety of self and all under your control, completion of RAMS.
4. Creation and management of the appropriate Project Documentation and control of project expenditure within a monthly project reporting structure
5. Close liaison and management of the Client and other stakeholders
6. Regular communication with internal support and stakeholders
7. Proactively manage the impact on and protection of the environment.
Minimum Requirements
1. Project management experience in a civils OR industrial M&E OR MEICA setting
2. Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
3. Experience or knowledge of planning software packages such as Microsoft Project / P6
4. Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
5. SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely
6. Full UK driving license (essential)
7. Experience with NEC Suite of contracts (essential).
Desirable
1. Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification where appropriate
