Salary: £53,000 - £61,000 per annum

In this role, you will be managing a 5-bed nurturing home for children and young people with complex issues such as mental health complexities, trauma, and emotional behaviour difficulties. All bedrooms are tailored to suit individual needs, and the communal areas designed to encourage and promote independence. As the manager, you will lead, supervise and support a team of residential staff, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. You and your team will also work alongside and be supported by a specialist clinical team of psychologists and psychiatrists.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage the Residential Home ensuring efficient operation in line with relevant legislation, policies, and the Statement of Purpose.
* Develop and implement a service plan that delivers high-quality, clinically informed practices.
* Coordinate and monitor casework, administrative functions, and evaluate performance standards.
* Involved in the recruitment, vetting, interviewing, and induction of new staff.
* Contribute to staff training and development to meet the needs of the young people.
* Manage, appraise, supervise, and support all residential staff.
* Organize duty rotas to ensure continuous care for the young people.
* Ensure adherence to the Company's financial and administrative procedures and manage budgets.
* Participate in an On-Call system and ensure the maintenance of the facility.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 5 in Working with Young People/Management, or equivalent.
* Significant experience at a senior level within a children's home.
* Demonstrable knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
* Familiarity with the National Care Standards 2000, Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.
* Proven management abilities and excellent written communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage budgets.
* Numeracy and literacy skills.
* Professional attitude/appearance with good organisation and leadership skills.
