Manager - Asset Management Advisory
Base Location: London - Plus network of 20 offices nationally:
KPMG UK's Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG) is a team of roughly 400 professionals and is widely recognised as one of the world's leading independent financial and commercial advisers in the infrastructure sector. IAG has locations in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester, but is operated on a national basis.
IAG provides in-depth advice on the strategic, financial, regulatory and commercial issues driving investments in infrastructure in the UK and internationally. This ranges from providing strategic thinking and advice to companies and investors to enable private capital to fund infrastructure, to working with the public sector to develop the business cases to enable projects to happen, and advising through negotiations that bring the public and private sectors together. We work closely with other functions within KPMG to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, valuations, tax, accounting, and due diligence issues.
We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Asset Management Advisory (AMA) team, part of the KPMG Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG). Our team advises infrastructure owners in both the public and private sector, including government with their most complex challenges. IAG is widely recognised as one of the world's leading independent financial and business advisers in infrastructure consisting of over 380 professionals.

We are seeking an Industry leading Asset Management professional to become the subject matter expert for KPMG UK supporting all AMA activity across the business including Operating Model Transformation, Strategy and Planning, Internal Audit, Transactions, Risk and Technology.
What will you be doing?
1. Asset organisation and operating model transformation
2. Analytics and asset management improvement programmes
3. Asset investment planning including corporate value frameworks
4. Network/service resilience and maintenance planning
5. Internal audit, assurance and peer review of key business processes
6. Data and technology advisory services for the asset lifecycle
What will you need to do it?
We are looking for a person who is able to work at pace and provide practical solutions across the broad services we provide. The ability to deal with ambiguity and to put in place frameworks to address our clients problems. This is essential along with great communication and presentational skills.
Ideally the individual would also have a track record of delivering high quality outputs and is conscientious in their attitude to work.
The technical background we are interested in will likely to come from an Oil & Gas (NOC or IOC) base or Capital Project environment.
Essential Requirements:
7. An understanding of the energy sector and its current challenges, specifically the Oil & Gas sector across Europe and the Middle East
8. Have knowledge on the Oil & Gas value chain and decarbonisation
9. Candidates will ideally also have working experience across the Oil and Gas value chain ( upstream, midstream or downstream)
10. Understanding and assessment of operating models and end to end process for asset management and capital delivery for asset intensive organisations
11. Broad understanding of the capital project lifecycle and the implications for an Oil & Gas project
12. Strong analytical skills and/or strong written, communication and excellent presentation skills
13. Good client relationship track record.
14. Experience in creating benchmarking / data analysis reports.
