Are you an experienced teaching assistant looking for a new opportunity in education? Long Term Futures is currently seeking a dedicated AP Teaching Assistant to join one of our client alternative provision schools in Chesterfield.
In this rewarding role, you will support students who face various challenges, including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Working in a specialist setting, you will play an instrumental part in helping students overcome barriers to learning by using creative and adaptive teaching approaches tailored to their individual needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with the classroom teacher to deliver alternative and engaging learning strategies for students with SEN needs, such as ASD and ADHD.
- Setting achievable goals for students and monitoring their progress.
- Ensuring all students have the support they need to reach their full potential.
- Assisting students in overcoming challenges and helping them find effective solutions.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have prior experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Build strong, positive relationships with both students and staff.
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be compassionate, patient, and caring.
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
