Together with the Royal Navy, we're shaping the future of submarine training. From modernising courses and the learning environment to delivering brand new equipment and teaching in a state-of-the-art building, our Faslane based team is playing their part to deliver better trained submariners to the frontline, faster.
You will deliver high-quality education, training, coaching, and mentoring support to both newly qualified and experienced Trainers to meet contractual and Ofsted requirements. You will promote a culture of training improvement to increase the effectiveness of training delivery by role modelling modern learning techniques and methods, providing support to educational projects to meet the requirements of any future training delivery.
This role presents an opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and training to shape and develop future training capability within a team of dedicated and highly skilled Senior Defence Trainers.

Job Description:
What you'll be doing:
1. Delivering a teacher training and assessment programme incorporating the QCF Level 3 Award in Education and Training and Care of Trainees (safeguarding and prevent)
2. Conducting Teaching observations in support of Ofsted requirements and Teacher development
3. Delivering an education and training Continuing Professional Development programme to Defence Trainers (both military and civilian)
4. Supporting the delivery of a Coaching and Mentoring service including the undertaking of coaching and mentoring support for staff and trainee development
5. Providing support and expertise for educational projects to meet future training needs
What we're looking for:
1. Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (or equivalent)
2. Experience of training delivery in the adult learning sector is highly beneficial
3. A passion for delivering training and developing people
4. Experience within digital learning methods is desirable
5. Ability to work collaboratively
6. Experience of the military is desirable
7. Good IT skills using Microsoft Office Suite
8. Must be able to obtain UK SC clearance
About Selborne:
Selborne is a wide-scale, 12-year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract, worth GBP 1 billion, was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN. The consortium of partners known as Team Fisher includes Raytheon UK, Fujitsu, and the University of Lincoln together with 14 other UK-based suppliers.
