Purpose of the Job CBRE manages the maintenance of Client UK Data Centre and is committed to the provision of an efficient and effective critical engineering maintenance service. The primary function is to ensure 100% uptime of engineering services to ensure there is zero impact to the client’s business operations. To ensure satisfactory delivery of services against contractual terms and conditions, meeting and exceeding client expectations and ensuring the contractual commitments of CBRE are achieved. To ensure all maintenance work is called out in accordance with client and company policies and procedures and within health and safety legislative requirements. Provide effective shift relief cover up to Shift Supervisor level. Work on Dayshift as default, but when required, provide planned and reactive cover for the embedded shift team when taking annual leave, training and sickness. Be completely flexible in working an irregular and unpredicted work pattern in order for CBRE to meet its contractual commitments. Be competent and qualified to carry out Shift Supervisor duties. Understand the maintenance or extra works to be carried out and identify the potential impact to health and safety and critical plant operation. Identify and utilise mitigating measures to address the potential impact, through the implementation of safe systems of work and operational procedures. Assist with the asset condition reviews for engineering plant. Comply with the customers RNOW change approval system. When required, actively supervise engineering risks through applying CERM methodologies. Be proficient in the use and application of CERM Quantum. Establish and develop trusting, meaningful relationships with the CBRE site engineering team, TET team, DCS and other client staff. Lead cultural change on a daily basis, through being an effective role model for safe working practices, compliance, quality standards and best practice methods. Volunteer ideas/initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and improved service levels. Positive contribution to the “team” effort, with a “can do” attitude and raising of standards. Undertake other tasks as required by the Contract Manager The successful candidate will have the following background: Time served Electrical / Mechanical apprenticeship. HV switching qualification/experience. 18th Edition IEE Regulations. Experience of Microsoft Office applications. City & Guilds Electrical competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent. Comprehensive building services knowledge in similar environments to a minimum of HVAC standards. Critical Environment Experience. Good Customer relationship skills. Working knowledge of “Permit to work” systems Understand and interpret technical drawings/processes. Experience of CEWA and safety documentation. Knowledge of CERM & CERM Quantum.
