Are you a creative and driven marketing professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the leisure industry? Rubicon Leisure is seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer for a one-year maternity cover.
In this role, you will lead comprehensive marketing and communications initiatives across Abbey Stadium and Pitcheroak Golf Course, working to enhance brand awareness, increase customer engagement, and support revenue growth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of Rubicon Leisure.
About Us
Founded by Redditch Borough Council in 2018, Rubicon Leisure’s core mission is to inspire our local communities to lead healthier and happier lives across nine sites: Abbey Stadium, Arrow Valley Visitor Centre, Pitcheroak Golf Course, Palace Theatre, Forge Mill Needle Museum, and the Batchley, Windmill, Oakenshaw, and Winyates Green community centres.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of one of our largest sites, Abbey Stadium, while continuing to build on the success of one of our community's most cherished sites, Pitcheroak Golf Course. You will also play a key role in exciting projects, collaborate with passionate professionals, and make a lasting impact both within the organisation and with our valued customers during this maternity cover period.
Key Responsibilities
As a Marketing and Communications Officer, you will:
* Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Events.
* Collect and create video content for our social channels.
* Act as a brand champion, ensuring consistent messaging across all communications.
* Plan and execute engaging campaigns across digital, print, and social media channels.
* Create compelling content for websites, social platforms, blogs, and promotional materials.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver cohesive marketing initiatives.
* Manage email marketing campaigns, customer feedback, and CRM data for audience targeting.
* Coordinate marketing efforts for events and oversee screen content for key venues.
* Monitor and report on campaign performance metrics and KPIs.
* Work with Meta and Google ads to create digital ads and monitor the analytics.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR and manage marketing budgets effectively.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
· A minimum of one years’ experience in a marketing role.
· A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
· A full, valid driving licence.
· Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, social media management tools, and WordPress.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven success in executing multi-channel campaigns and managing CRM systems.
· Experience in creating engaging content for various platforms, including websites, social media, and print materials.
· Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the leisure industry and familiarity with leisure centres and golf courses.
* Experience in promoting and marketing events, including working with venue owners, sponsors, and promoters.
* Events experience.
* Knowledge of managing marketing budgets, including cost-effective campaign planning and financial reporting.
* Experience with Google, Website and Meta Analytic
