Yard Manager Job Description The Company operates repair workshops for cars and commercial vehicles together with vehicle storage compounds. The Yard Manager is responsible for all activities that are carried on the individual sites, at times you may be required to deputise for other Managers at another site. Site / Yard Manager work includes the following (these lists are not exhaustive) Welcoming customers and dealing with enquiries Taking and dealing with enquiries via phone or email from Insurance Companies, Repairers, and other interested third parties. Working with other colleagues at different sites to answer queries Contacting customers and others to arrange prompt removal of vehicles held in storage Maintaining computer records of vehicles and property held on site.. Carrying out vehicle inspections and where needed removal and cataloging of personal possessions for secure storage. Carrying out weekly building and safety inspections Keeping the offices, yard, workshops and inspection bays clean, tidy and debris free. General site maintenance Assisting drivers with loading and unloading on site Parking vehicles on site and cataloguing possessions where required Other duties as required Note - A condition of employment is that you must be able to provide a clear CRB check and pass a Police vetting check.
