Are you looking for a rewarding and unique opportunity? Here at SuperCare, we are on a search for an enthusiastic and driven Children's Night Coach to join our Ofsted Regulated LD Children's Home in Eastbourne. We strive to encourage and motivate children, young people and young adults to develop and enhance life skills. We participate in a range of leisure activities, educational interests and social opportunities which offer positive challenges within a safe and structured environment.
Daily Responsibilities:
* Support and meet the needs of the young people in our care during a waking night shift.
* Help young people take responsibility for themselves and act responsibly towards others, in accordance with the Children Act 1989.
* Ensure health and safety standards in the home are being met and maintain the upkeep of the home.
* Perform administrative work and keep records impacting the daily running of the home.
* Ensure young people carry as much responsibility for their own lives as possible, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, and involving them in planning their lives.
Household Responsibilities:
* Ensure the young people are looked after safely and securely at night.
* Maintain the house to a good standard by caring for all equipment and the overall environment.
* Be accountable for allocated funds spent for specific reasons.
* Complete health and safety checks in line with policies and Ofsted regulations and standards.
What are we looking for?
* Willingness to develop skills, knowledge, and experience in accordance with a personal development plan.
* Kind, caring, and compassionate to accommodate all of the young people's needs.
* Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour (e.g., severe autism and ADHD).
* Resilience and ability to manage challenges in a caring way.
* Completed Level 3 NVQ in Children's Residential Care and/or hold an equivalent qualification.
* Enhanced DBS Check or subject to one if successful.
