2nd Line IT Support | Blantyre, Glasgow | Full Time | £32,000 - £35,000 per annum
Established in August 2011, Plugdin Business Solutions offers cost-effective, tailored Telecoms and IT solutions to small and medium-sized businesses UK-wide. We specialise in providing technical support to businesses remotely and onsite whilst working to the highest standards.
We are currently looking for a full-time 2nd Line IT Support person. You will be involved in all levels of work across all areas of the business, so variety will be part of the job.
The role will be split between working half of the day onsite starting at 9 am for one of our larger clients in Edinburgh city centre and the second half of the day covering all customers working from home until 5:30 pm. Due to this, this role may suit someone based in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
The first 4-6 weeks will be spent at our office in South Lanarkshire getting to know the team, customers, and systems.

Are you the right person for the job?
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in this role or a similar role. We cover most IT aspects, including:
1. Windows 10/11 Issues
2. LAN & Wi-Fi
3. Routers & Switches
4. Active Directory
5. Servers (both physical and virtual)
6. Microsoft 365, Azure, Identity, Intune, Endpoint Manager
7. N-Able Remote Monitoring/Cove Backup
Ideally, you will have experience in most of these. Knowledge of working on a helpdesk with Zendesk and RMM would be advantageous. We also have some Mac OSX-based customers, but this is not essential.
What will your role as a 2nd Line IT Support look like?
1. General I.T Repairs and maintenance.
2. Telephone support with occasional site visits required for troubleshooting and new installs.
3. Some of the technologies you would be expected to deal with include Windows Desktop, Windows Server, Networking hardware/software, and Microsoft 365 product suite.
4. Support and maintain end-user IT systems within the business.
5. Liaising with internal staff to log and resolve issues efficiently.
6. Responding to requests for support from customers (via telephone and email).
7. Installing and updating software from our Inventory/Deploy application.
