The Role The Compliance Manager’s role is to ensure that the mandatory compliance monitoring functions of Nova’s UK CAA approved Maintenance and Production organisation are satisfied. This includes managing the compliance monitoring function and Safety Management System (SMS) assurance elements of the management system in support of the Nova Systems aerospace integration strategy. Working with the senior technical leadership team, including the Safety Manager, the Compliance Manager will develop the organisation’s capability and range of approvals as necessary to support the business delivery programme. As the compliance monitoring manager, you will be instrumental in supporting the safety management objectives of continual improvement through identification of areas of improvements in technical processes to improve efficiency and compliance and ensuring a coherent product development approach that meets the strategic requirements of the business. Essential Skills Eligibility to work in the UK, and due to the nature of our projects, we can only accept applications from NATO-country passport holders Hold an engineering degree from aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionic or other studies relevant to the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft/aircraft components. Or hold a UK Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence. 5 years relevant work experience of which at least 2 years should be from the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position. Must meet the requirements of the CAA Fitness of character policy framework and be acceptable to UK CAA as a Nominated Person. (Form 1769 Holder). Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices. Experienced in Avionic and mission equipment LRU’s and Maintenance inspection, test and repair. Experienced Part 21 Subpart G manufacturing and Inspection of wiring looms and electrical parts and part marking. Excellent knowledge of UK Part 21 & Part 145 regulations. Completed Initial SMS, Human Factors and Electrical Wiring Interconnecting Systems (EWIS) Training. As specified in GM1 145.A.30(e) Excellent English verbal and written (94 TOEFL Score) High level of ethics and integrity. Flexible, positive and committed team member who works to a very high standard. Confident understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to provide regulatory guidance to the management team. A sound understanding of commercial principles and business concerns and a proven ability to provide balanced recommendations and decisions between commercial needs and regulatory requirements. A proportional, performance and risk-based oversight management approach. Self-motivated with ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Desirable Skills UK Part 66 B2 Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Be familiar with Part ORO (Organisation Requirements for Air Operations) and SPO (Specialised Operations Regulations.)
