An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a nurse with urology experience to work within our Urology Outpatient services. Whether you are an experienced band 6 who wants to broaden their urology experience and would like a new challenge, or you are a band 5 with a specific interest in urology, this could be of interest to you.
Based in the Urology Assessment Unit at Wythenshawe/Withington sites, you will work alongside a team of experienced urology specialists in their own dedicated unit.
The post holder will work within the team to facilitate and develop urology services across Manchester Foundation Trust. They will provide professional, clinical, and innovative care delivery within a multi-professional team. They will provide specialist nursing knowledge and expertise in the management of patients with urological conditions, liaising with colleagues across care settings to ensure specialist assessment, providing holistic packages of care, and ensuring patients receive prompt and evidence-based care.
Main Duties of the Job
The majority of the outpatient urology clinics across Manchester Foundation Trust are nurse-led for urology benign and cancer patients.
The post holder will be expected to provide specialist knowledge and care to the urology patient and their carers. They will support colleagues in the effective management of patients in their specialist area who require a high level of judgement, discretion, and decision making. The post holder will provide education and training to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Person Specification
Experience
* Nurse - minimum 3 years at band 5 in the relevant setting.
* Working autonomously.
* Participating in research and/or clinical audit.
* Evidence of leading area of work and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of national and local targets/NSF frameworks.
* Evidence of relevant CPD.
* Knowledge of Governance agenda.

Qualifications
