The Beach House, located in the Pensacola International Airport, is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to partner with the General Manager in hiring, training, food safety, spectacular customer service and overall restaurant operations. Maintaining our brand standards and ensuring our team members have the training and support to deliver beyond guest expectations are top priorities in the day-to-day. A lead-by-example, eager to grow and energetic professional well versed in both FOH and BOH – who knows the restaurant world and that weekend availability is a MUST!
As a Manager of The Beach House, you:
* Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor
* Control profit & loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports
* Complete daily and/or nightly reports, on time and accurately
* Work with corporate office staff for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies, estimating food and beverage costs, supervise preparation to minimize waste
* Estimate needs and place orders with distributors and manage fresh food and supply delivery schedules
* Maintain a professional restaurant image and ensure staff are adhering to guidelines and wearing proper uniforms; ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce accidents or injuries; promptly complete an injury report or safety incident if an employee or guest is injured; manage proper security procedures to protect employees, guests and company assets
* Enforce sanitary and safety practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas; ensure consistent, high quality food preparation and service
* Monitor compliance with operational standards and policies, as well as federal, state and local ordinances; adhere to all airport and/or landlord policies and procedures, and provide direction to employees regarding such
* Ensure positive guest experiences: respond appropriately to any complaints and take all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests; investigate and resolve any complaints concerning food quality or service
* Manage shifts, scheduling and planning when able, and making daily decisions when needed; maintain a real-time plan of restaurant staffing needs, prepare schedules with notice and fill any staff absences
* Interview hourly candidates and manage hiring, development and performance; establish performance expectations, conduct reviews and provide feedback; terminate employees when necessary
* Conduct orientation and explanation of the OHM Philosophy; assign employee trainers and monitor training sessions
As a Manager of The Beach House, you need:
* High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred, as is a combination of practical experience and education
* At least 3 years’ experience in management/supervisory roles in the restaurant industry (QSR/Fast Food preferred)
* ServSafe certification (REQUIRED)
* Ability to pass the TSA-administered background check
* Proficiency in the dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping and reporting
* Ability to motivate employees and foster a teamwork environment and handle the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities and finding appropriate solutions to restaurant problems in a fast-paced environment
* Pleasant, polite, professional manner with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
* Availability and flexibility for often demanding restaurant hours
* Legally authorized to work in the US (Required)
* Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, bend and kneel, and lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds
