The school is seeking apassionate and qualified English Language Acquisition Teacher tojoin their thriving community. The successful candidate will have astrong commitment to supporting second language learners across alllevels and abilities. You will have an excellent understanding oflanguage acquisition and be confident in delivering engaging andeffective lessons to individuals andgroups.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Developand deliver the IB MYP and IB DP English Language Acquisitioncurriculum to students in Years 7 to13.
* Develop and deliver a schoolbased EnglishLanguage Development (ELD) programme to students in Years 7 to9.
* Prepare and mark a range of assessmentsfollowing IB protocols.
* Differentiateinstruction to meet the diverse learning needs of studentsincluding those for whom English is not their firstlanguage.
* Utilize innovative teachingstrategies and technology to promote English language andculture.
* Collaborate with colleagues toidentify and develop interdisciplinarylinks.
* Contribute to the schools admissionsprocess as required.
* Engage in ongoingprofessional development to stay current with best practices inlanguageteaching.
Qualificationsand Experience:
* Degreeor equivalent qualification
* Qualified TeacherStatus (QTS) or equivalent
* EAL ELD ESL or TESOLqualification or relevant experience
* Experiencewith the International Baccalaureate curriculum is highlydesirable
