The role:
As an Information Security Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for providing a high level of professional Information Assurance (IA) support across the Missions Systems business.
Day-to-day, you’ll responsible for managing the effective delivery of all IA related matters ensuring key support functions are delivered in a smart, flexible and holistic manner to ensure the business continues to operate safely and securely.
Main responsibilities will be:
• Manage the Mission Systems ISMS (Information Security Management System) and ISO Certification.
• Develop and implement a program leading to ISO Certification.
• Create policy, which will be reviewed and developed in line with ISO/ISO ISMS Framework.
• Develop and manage a program of Risk Assessment activity and provide support and guidance on implementation of Risk Management Controls.
• Carry out GAP Analysis and implementation activity in support of new acquisitions and Bid work.
• Develop and manage a Supply Chain due diligence programme of activity to identify and mitigate risk and impact of supplier/service/product use on Data Protection and Information Assurance requirements.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel across a range of internal and customer sites on a monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Information Security Manager:
• Proven experience working in the defence or public sector.
• Experience of International Standards including ISO, ISO or NIST Cyber Security Framework.
• Providing customer-facing IA advice and guidance.
Qualifications of the Information Security Manager:
• Ideally degree qualified but HND/HNC level qualification in a relevant discipline with extensive experience in the relevant field will be considered
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role with the ability to gain Developed Vetting (DV) once in post if required.
