Hours: 40 hours per week, between the hours of 08.00am and 17.00pm, Monday to Friday
This is a term time plus 4 weeks position
Key Responsibilities:
Role will include but not be limited to the following duties:
* Provide a comprehensive and confidential secretarial and administrative service to the Deputy Head Academic and wider team, including but not limited to, managing correspondence, diary management, minute and note taking.
* Arrange attendance at internal and external meetings, events and conferences including registration, travel and accommodation arrangements, prepare papers, refreshments etc
* Assisting in the organisation and planning of significant school events including Heads of Department’s Lunch, Extended Project Summer Conference, Extended Project Assembly, Upper Sixth Symposium and Dawson Assembly as well as issuing relevant invitations and liaising with the Catering Manager and Caretakers.
* Audit the Department Meeting Minutes to check that Department Learning Walks are being fed-back.
* Research and draft replies to correspondence for the DHA including, confidential correspondence for staff and students.
* Support the production and uploading of weekly parental letters.
* Analyse feedback data and deliver summarised insights.
* Support the wider aims of the school and other administrative departments.
* Confidentiality and record management – to maintain and keep secure administration files, pupil and staff records. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ensure the security of all records and comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
* Ensure that all routine office procedures are carried out and office equipment is properly used, maintained and serviced.

* Proficiency in administrative software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* The ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork.
* Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
* Adaptability to respond swiftly to unexpected challenges.
* A positive and proactive attitude with a genuine interest in supporting the success of the school.
