Our client is an established company embarking on an exciting new venture with the setup of a fresh residential home. This new home will accommodate up to four young people, providing them with a safe, supportive environment designed to meet their individual needs.
As a Children’s Home Manager, you will oversee the operations of this newly established 4-bedded home. You’ll ensure high-quality emotional and physical care, plan and facilitate keyworker services, and create a nurturing environment that prepares young people for independent living.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of the home, ensuring compliance with the Quality Standards 2015.
* Foster a supportive, safe, and stimulating environment for young people.
* Promote partnership working with young people, families, and other stakeholders.
* Provide leadership and development opportunities for the staff team.
* Ensure regulatory compliance, including the Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.
* Oversee budgets, staffing, and operational management.
* Implement and uphold health and safety standards.
* Drive continuous improvement and maintain the highest quality of care.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: QCF Level 5 in Childcare or equivalent (e.g., DipSW, NVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management).
* Experience: At least two years of experience working with children, with one year in a supervisory or management role.
* Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulations, including the Children Act 1989, Every Child Matters, and the National Minimum Standards.
