Work clinically to offer expert direction and day to day leadership to a team of community nurses. Carry their own patient caseload. Provide assessment and nursing care, advice and information to patients and carers within the home environment or alternative care setting.

Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated registered nurse with at least 2 years of Community experience to join the team working in the Okehampton area. The successful candidate will also possess the SPQ in District Nursing qualification (or be willing to undertake this via the apprenticeship route). The post holder will manage a caseload with a key responsibility of maintaining patients in their own preferred place of care enabling them to maximise their independence and optimise their quality of life, as well as helping to facilitate timely discharge from hospital, including those patients at End of Life.
Working Pattern:
At present 8.30-4.30, Mon-Fri, working one weekend in 4.
