Company: Marsh Description: Sales Team Manager This Bristol based role will oversee a team of Sales Advisors who are responsible for meeting a client’s commercial insurance needs. Clients will typically range from smaller SME’s to larger scale consultancy based businesses. Your team will work with a specialist approved panel of insurers, whilst also adhering to our internal audit procedures and FCA guidelines. As a manager you will contribute to strategic decision-making and drive growth within your team. You will be responsible for, oversee, and coordinate workloads ensuring your team is appropriately staffed to meet client needs. You will utilise your knowledge of industry and insurance marketplaces to assist your sales team when placing new business. You’ll lead the team by setting performance standards, conducting reviews, and provide coaching and development. Within this role you will also manage a sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting around sales, and ensuring the execution of this is delivered. You will utilise MI to explore further opportunities that may generate revenue or to successfully improve processes. What can you expect? We will rely on you to: Conduct meaningful 1-2-1 sessions with Sales advisors; include coaching and development plans and work with individuals to improve performance. Performance managing where necessary Establish productive and professional relationships with key internal stakeholders. Communicate with, and work alongside our affinity partners. Utilise daily MI to drive performance Maintain a proactive approach to sales Inspire and lead a team of Advisors to meet and exceed sales targets. Create a high energy environment to drive optimum results by engaging the team, using team meetings, buzz sessions and incentives. Completion and updating of weekly and monthly trackers, dashboards, reporting on business unit performance; taking accountability for team results. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and processes as well as insurance industry best practices and competitor activity. Uphold a positive, supportive and engaging leadership style when communicating and rolling out changes/updates or driving new initiatives. Contribute positively to the team and overall success of the company.
