Mechanical Fitter – Kidderminster – £23,200 pa – Mon to Thursday 7am – 5.30pm – 4 day week

The Person:
As a Mechanical Fitter you will:
* Have Mechanical knowledge from the vehicle industry such as plant hire, commercial vehicle or body building industry.
* Be used to working to customer specifications and to deadlines
* Have a good working knowledge of power pools, hydraulics and electrics.
* Ideally have MIG welding experience – this is advantageous.
The Role:
Supporting the production manager in developing a high standard of quality refuse vehicles
Monitoring the build process and liaising with the production manager for sub contractors appointments to be arranged.
Ability to raise issues during build process and to record changes
Ability to read drawings and carry out work to drawings supplied in build packs
Supporting sub contractors and other companies on site
Assisting with preparation of vehicle inspections and testing
Finalising paperwork.
You will maintain a high standard of housekeeping and adherence to health and safety, including risk assessments to make sure safe working practices are being maintained.
Great communication skills ae needed along with a high level of customer service when dealing with external and internal customers. You will be happy to work alone and also as part of a friendly team.
