Job Title: Lecturer in Health & Care
Contract: Permanent, 0.8 FTE
Salary: £24,051 - £47,333 pro rata (dependent on experience)
Location: Cardiff
An exciting vacancy is available as Lecturer in Health & Care in the Health & Care department at Cardiff and the Vale College. This post will be based at our Eastern High Campus.
Responsibilities include:
1. Undertaking all pedagogic work such as lesson preparation, classroom teaching, tutorial work, and marking.
2. Conducting student assessments to place students, monitor progress, and identify learning support needs.
3. Providing appropriate student support to meet both the academic and welfare needs of learners and ensuring that all relevant information is recorded on the appropriate College systems.
4. Undertaking all organisational and administrative work associated with the above, including attending team meetings, participating in professional development activities and staff appraisals, and maintaining accurate teaching-related records including details of assessment and attendance.
5. Participating in course evaluation activities and contributing to the development of the curriculum.
6. Involvement in marketing, including identifying consumer requirements, creating appropriate publicity materials, and working with external agencies where appropriate.
7. Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
