We are working with a top 150 construction consultancy who currently has a senior architect job available. The role would involve you taking a lead role in the inception of the Chichester architectural department working on a variety of projects.
The multidisciplinary consultancy is made of 6 offices with circa 120 staff across the Southwest, South Coast, and London. They offer design, building surveying, quantity surveying, project management, town planning, and urban design services to a multitude of different sectors including education, residential, commercial, healthcare, and the public sector.
Due to several new confirmed projects, they are seeking an experienced senior architect to join the Chichester office with further plans to develop the department.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Lead projects through all RIBA stages, developing briefs with key stakeholders.
2. Liaise with other architectural professionals based in the company's other offices.
3. Engage in local business development to nurture and grow client relationships.
4. Work closely with the Project and surveying teams based in the Chichester office.
5. Collaborate with internal and external consultants on specialist design information.
6. Liaise with planning and building control authorities.
7. Produce comprehensive working drawing packages.
8. Ensure projects adhere to Building Regulations and ISO 19650 standards.
9. Maintain and build meaningful client relationships through project delivery.
10. Use Revit on a daily basis.
Required Skills & Experience
1. Registered Architect with ARB and Chartered by RIBA.
2. Proficient in Revit.
3. Strong creative and technical design abilities.
4. Experience working on façade and education projects would be beneficial.
5. Ability to detail complex buildings and produce comprehensive working drawing packages.
6. Proven experience managing client expectations and running projects across all RIBA stages.
7. Excellent management skills with the ability to grow teams locally.
8. Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, NBS Chorus, and BIM360 would be advantageous.
9. Full UK driving license required.
