Theatre Support Assistant
Wellington Hospital
Full time 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 5 days a week and at least 1 weekend a month. Mixture of Earlies, Lates & Long days.

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Support Assistant to join our Theatre Team at the Wellington Hospital, which has been rated "Good" by the CQC. Our theatres offer a dynamic and professional environment, equipped with state-of-the-art technology that is truly unmatched. You will be working with complex surgeries and world-class surgeons.
What you will do:
1. Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance.
2. Participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement and maintain the agreed standards of care.
3. Clean the theatre and recovery areas before and after operating sessions, adhering to the weekly cleaning schedule.
4. Stock cupboards and stock containers against agreed stock levels.
5. Collect and escort patients, assisting with transferring patients from trolley to table under the supervision of trained staff.
6. Assist with the safe positioning of patients on the operating table.
7. Act as circulating person for the scrub team within the scope of the role.
What you’ll bring:
1. Health Care Assistant experience.
2. 2 years of experience working in theatres as a Health Care Assistant.
3. Knowledge of healthcare computer systems, Meditech, and Microsoft Outlook.
4. Knowledge of infection prevention control.
5. Knowledge of WHO/Safety checks in theatres (essential).
