Meridian Business Support is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a Ofsted-rated GOOD children’s home in Sutton Coldfield. Your Role as a Registered Manager As the leader of this home, you will: Develop tailored care plans addressing young people’s needs holistically. Build & retain a strong, motivated team with recruitment support. Foster consultation & engagement with young people on their care. Assign Key Workers to ensure effective care plan implementation. Maintain high-quality standards in line with regulatory requirements. Handle concerns & complaints, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Collaborate with families, carers, and professionals to promote welfare. Attend and contribute to care planning & review meetings. Promote and uphold a safe, nurturing, and positive culture for the children in your care. What We’re Looking For: Passion – A genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people. Experience – Minimum of 2 years in residential childcare, including 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years. Qualifications Essential: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care Preferred: Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare. If not held, you must enrol within 6 months of starting. Knowledge Understanding of Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory frameworks. Skills Strong planning, organisation, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership. Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Trauma Awareness Understanding of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, including challenging behaviour management. Full UK Manual Driving Licence – Required for this role.
