Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a passion for delivering world-class infrastructure projects? Our client, a leading civil engineering and earthworks contractor known for their innovation and excellence, is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor (MQS) to join their dynamic team.

The Role
As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will:
* Lead and Mentor: Manage and develop a team of quantity surveyors, ensuring exceptional performance and career progression.
* Drive Financial Success: Oversee project budgets, cost control, and profitability across multiple infrastructure projects.
* Manage Contracts: Administer contracts (NEC, option E, etc.), negotiate terms, and resolve disputes effectively.
* Strategic Procurement: Lead supplier/subcontractor selection, manage agreements, and ensure value for money.
* Mitigate Risks: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
* Deliver Value: Champion value engineering initiatives to enhance quality and reduce costs.
* Build Relationships: Foster strong connections with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
What We're Looking For
To excel in this position, you will have:
* Proven experience as a Managing or Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering.
* In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and civil engineering project management.
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (RICS membership preferred).
* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, highly organized approach.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., COINS) and financial acumen.
