Context:
Gardner is implementing a global ERP project across all its businesses and geographies. Solution being deployed is Infor Cloud Suite. Implementation is starting from February 2025 and project plan has a 12 month implementation period. Project covers all Gardner countries/entities (9 sites across UK, France, Poland, India, China). Domains covered are Operations (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain), Finance, and Human Resources.
Gardner is a leading manufacturer of metallic finished components in the Aerospace Industry. The group delivers machined parts, sheet metal fabrications, and sub-assemblies to the Aerospace & Defence industry, with 1900 employees.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled ERP Implementation Project Manager ideally with a strong background in the aerospace industry and a proven ability to manage large-scale, global multi country implementations. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to ensure the successful deployment and optimization of our Infor Cloud ERP system. The ERP Project Manager will work in close collaboration with the Gardner Project team and Infor Project Manager to ensure tasks are run smoothly and as per the plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Implementation:- Providing updates to Project steering team and stakeholders on project plan progress
- Is accountable for project aspects such as planning, progress reports, actions plan, risk plan, communication plan, stakeholders’ management
- Track and accountable for timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders across various regions and functions.
- Develop detailed project plans, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met and that resources are appropriately allocated.
- Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional teams, including internal departments, third-party vendors, and offshore teams.
- Ensure alignment of ERP implementation strategies with business objectives, ensuring that the system meets the needs of the company including compliance, traceability, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, finance, operations, and other functional leaders across various regions and countries.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals, timelines, and outcomes.
- Address and resolve project-related issues and risks in a timely manner, ensuring smooth progress of the implementation.
Global Coordination:
- Manage multiple regional implementations, ensuring that global rollouts are consistent and aligned with corporate objectives.
- Navigate complex, multi-country regulatory and business environments, ensuring compliance with all local laws and industry standards in the aerospace sector.
- Coordinate with regional teams to ensure the system is configured to meet the specific needs of each market or geography.
- Coordinate with external Infor Project manager to ensure smooth coordination.
- Drive system testing, validation, and user acceptance, ensuring quality and stability before go-live.
Training & Support:
- Lead the development and execution of training plans for end users to ensure a smooth adoption of the new ERP system across multiple regions.
- Co-ordinate training plan etc ongoing post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and optimization for users across various regions.
Risk & Change Management:
- Proactively identify and manage risks, including potential delays, resource constraints, and any issues that could impact the project timeline or budget.
- Implement effective change management strategies to ensure organizational readiness for the new system, mitigating resistance and ensuring successful adoption.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Experience:
* Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused on ERP implementation projects in different industries.
* Experience managing large-scale, multi-country ERP implementations in a complex, global environment.
* Strong understanding of the unique challenges of ERP in different industries, including compliance, quality management, traceability, and regulatory requirements.
* Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of ERP project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and across regions.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency is a plus (e.g., French, German, Polish, … ).
* Technical Proficiency:
* Expertise in Infor Cloud ERP (ideally Infor Could Suite, or related Infor LN or Infor M3 solutions), is a plus.
* Familiarity with aerospace-specific modules.
* Travel:
Willingness to travel internationally as required by project needs (up to 30%).
