Salary: £41,792 per annum Benefits: 284 days annual leave, attractive pension, company bonus, and as much coffee as you can drink Purpose of Role: As the Commercial Analyst you will a ssist the Commercial Manager with analysis of business sectors to develop them through favourable price implementation and maintenance, ensuring commercial viability at all times. Creating, maintaining, and authorising payment of customer rebates. Key Responsibilities: • Analyse commercial proposals and complete profitability checks • Costing preparation and review • First point of contact for pricing queries • Analyse contractual agreements and quotes ensuring company policy on profitability is adhered to • Assist Manager with analysis on any price amendments or changes and inform those responsible of findings • Assist Manager with implementing and maintaining operational pricing including equipment pricing, and promotions and on 3rd party systems where applicable • Assist Manager with maintaining and issuing new price lists/matrices and sales tools • Identify and communicate to relevant parties regarding trends and sales patterns developing within the business • Prepare and communicate analysis and findings across all levels of the organisation • Analyse main business KPI reports for anomalies and investigate • Work on Analysis and Reporting projects • Work with management team to ensure accurate relevant reports are developed to meet business requirements Analysis : • Analyse commercial requests and quotes ensuring Company Policy on profitability is adhered to. This includes enforcing the commercial authorisation process • Proactively analysing the business and present data to assist Managers to develop their business sector. • Carry out analysis on any price amendments or changes and inform those responsible of findings • Assist Manager with maintaining and issuing new pricing matrixes or sales tools • Acting as an early warning system to senior managers regarding trends and sales patterns developing within the business. • Work with the Business Managers on promotions and other ad-hoc analysis relevant to the sales channel. • Analyse business processes and look for ways to improve Communication and reporting: • Communication and presentation of reports and analysis to all levels throughout the organisation, from field sales management to director level. • Point of contact for all pricing queries • Meet requests for analysis and information in timely manner • Meet deadlines for Analysis projects • Present analysis in accordance with guidelines set • Advising findings of analysis completed to those responsible • Business Partner non-finance colleagues • Negotiation with Sales staff Education / Qualifications / Training: • Educated to degree level or equivalent in maths or relevant business subject Skills / Knowledge: Essential: • Minimum intermediate level user of Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Excel and Word • Excellent communication skills for presentation of information both verbally and in written format to all levels • Attention to detail to evidence accuracy in all work produced and complete/follow through on all tasks • Negotiation skills • Highly analytical and numerate • Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines • Commercial acumen Personal Attributes: • Highly proactive • Develops strong and influential business relationships • Assertive • Highly analytical • Works well in a team • Has own initiative to complete tasks • Punctual • High attention to detail Application If this sounds like you, then you could be the right fit for us Please click APPLY, upload your CV and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
