A leading organisation is seeking a Trade Compliance Administrator to join their Customs/Trade Compliance team on a temporary basis. This role is central to ensuring adherence to customs laws and regulations across the UK and EMEA, with a focus on special programs auditing and achieving savings targets. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting customs initiatives for various company entities.
Primary Responsibilities
* Conduct audits for UK and EMEA-based entities
* Collaborate with authorities on duty recovery initiatives.
* Manage and store all customs documentation within SharePoint, ensuring comprehensive records.
* Communicate with brokers to obtain any missing customs entries, ensuring SharePoint documentation is up to date.
* Maintain and update the audit tracker with findings, analysing broker accuracy.
* Recommend corrective actions to mitigate customs entry errors.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of UK customs requirements, specifically CDS customs entries.
* Familiarity with EU import regulations and customs warehouse guidelines in both the UK and EMEA.
* Understanding of AEO requirements and EU/UK Free Trade Agreements (FTA).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in customs brokerage.
* Basic knowledge of ERP systems.
