Position: Senior Accountant (Long-Term Opportunity)
Location: Wednesbury Office (with flexible hybrid arrangements after probation)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £31,000 - £45,000+ per annum (negotiable based on experience)
Holidays: 20 days + 11 Bank Holidays, plus additional time off at Christmas

Role Overview
We seek an ACCA/ACA-qualified (or equivalent) Senior Accountant who is committed to quality, accuracy, and outstanding client care. This is a long-term position for a professional looking to shape processes, mentor junior colleagues, and help guide the firm into a modern era of accounting solutions.
You will manage a diverse client portfolio and work closely with directors, junior partners, and fellow senior accountants. Our clients include high-net-worth individuals, charities, and professional athletes, requiring adaptability and comprehensive skill sets. External audit experience is essential, as you’ll support a variety of client needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and finalise year-end statutory accounts, Corporation Tax computations (CT600), and personal tax returns.
2. Manage VAT, payroll, and CIS compliance, and liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies.
3. Undertake external audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
4. Provide expert guidance on accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, IRIS) to optimise client processes.
5. Review work prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
6. Stay informed of regulatory changes and best practices, contributing to internal policies and methodologies.
7. Advise on tax planning, business structuring, and audit findings aligned with clients’ strategic objectives.
8. Communicate proactively and professionally, building long-term client relationships founded on trust.
Minimum Requirements
1. ACCA, ACA, or equivalent qualification with significant senior practice experience.
2. Strong capabilities in preparing statutory accounts, handling tax matters, and ensuring compliance.
3. Proficiency with QuickBooks and Sage, willingness to embrace emerging technologies.
4. Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
5. Familiarity with IRIS AP, IRIS BT, and IRIS PT.
6. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
7. A clean driving licence for occasional travel between offices and client sites.
