Company: Rowfield Commercial Role: Project Planner Bas ic Salary: Contract - £400 - £500 per day Location: Dunbar, Scotland Report s to: Associate Director Rowfield Commercial: Rowfield Commercial is a firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers that specialise in providing commercial management, dispute resolution and project support services to the construction industry. We are headquartered in Cardiff, with offices in London. We cater to employers, contractors or subcontractors, by utilising our commercial services that are designed to reduce risk and increase profitability on projects. We help to realise additional value through our in-depth understanding of the opportunities that each individual construction contract presents. We also provide project support services which specialise in the New Engineering Contract (NEC), Engineer and Construct Contract (ECC). We supply NEC ECC expert Project Managers, Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors or Project Planners to a various industries UK wide. We also have a team of dual-qualified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) consultants, all elected Members (or Fellows) of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Charted Institute of Arbitrators. This allows us to deal with every aspect of the dispute resolution process, from assisting in negotiations to managing more formal processes such as mediation, adjudication and arbitration. We can act as your advocate or provide testimony in adjudication, arbitration or litigation proceedings as an independent expert witness. Rowfield is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. General Accountability: Reporting to the Associate Director, the Project Planner will support the business in serving its client organisations, and will be competent in managing all commercial aspects of the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to manage stakeholders of all levels, have a track record of meeting time and budgetary requirements. Primary Responsibilities: Operational experience of construction projects Support the effective project delivery to budget, time and quality specific to client’s goals and objectives Proven experience of planning software, ideally Primavera P6 Familiar with Earned Value Management Production of the NEC (3/4) programme that is submitted for acceptance of the Project Manager Ability to identify risks and opportunities through knowledge of construction sequencing and critical path Assist in producing commercial reports and on-going status of the project’s financial health Maintain positive working relationships with the client and all stakeholders Identify commercial risks and ensure operational impacts are minimised Education and Experience : Minimum of B.S. degree in construction or engineering related subject Member of professional body, or working towards that 5 years of construction planning experience Strong track record of NEC 3/4 programme support Strong track record of successfully managing project schedules Experience in projects £1M to £30M plus Apply here and a member of the team will be in touch.
