General Teaching Assistant Needed A Primary School that we work in South Gloucestershire is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team on an ongoing basis. This role will begin as soon as possible and then will be confirmed on a term-to-term basis. It is a full time role and will be from 8.30 until 3.30 on a daily basis. This is a general TA role and so will involve working alongside the Class Teacher to support the class. Some SEN work will be involved. The school is looking for someone who is open-minded and flexible. Someone who is eager to be part of a close knit team. They need someone who has experience of working within a school setting and having SEN experience is really beneficial. The school itself is lovely and has a high standard of work so you must be willing to strive to maintain this. What will you need to do on a daily basis? Supporting the Teacher with the lesson Assisting students with their learning, particularly those who require additional support Support groups of children or 1:1 support Show excellent curriculum knowledge Manage behavior effectively Promote and nurture independence Build positive working relationships with children and adults alike What have Ofsted said about the school? “Leaders have established effective policies and procedures to support pupils’ safety.
