Person specification
Knowledge, skills and training
Essential criteria
1. Good communication skills; written, electronic and verbal.
2. Positive interpersonal skills and high level of self-awareness.
Job specific experience
Essential criteria
3. At least 12 months of experience of working with mental health patients.
4. Knowledge and experience of running therapeutic group both individually and with clients, and in group settings.
Managerial / supervisory experience
Essential criteria
5. Ability to organise other staff members who are co-opted to run groups.
Personal qualities / attributes
Essential criteria
6. Ability to work with service users with challenging behaviours.
7. Excellent personal organisational skills and the ability to adapt activities to meet service users’ needs
8. Demonstration of effective problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirement

9. Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English, adequate to enable the post holder to carry out the role effectively.
