Description Wraparound Play Worker We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Wraparound Play Worker to join our team at Mawnan CE VA Primary School. As a Wraparound Play Worker, you will be responsible for providing a caring, secure, and enriching environment for children after the school day. Salary: Grade 1.1 - (Living wage £23,151) – hourly rate £11.99 £7,573 per annum. Monday – Friday, 16.25 hours a week, and term-time only. Contact time with children 3:15 pm -6 pm with 45 minutes for planning, preparation, and tidying. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the after-school setting and maintaining high standards of supervision. Organise and assist in a variety of indoor and outdoor play sessions, encouraging active participation and engagement. Provide first aid provision as needed and maintain appropriate health and safety standards. Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Requirements: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and their families. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic environment. Creativity and resourcefulness in planning and facilitating a range of engaging play-based activities. Adaptability and flexibility to respond to the changing needs and interests of the children. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a good understanding of relevant policies and procedures. Enthusiasm for working with primary school-aged children and a genuine interest in supporting their holistic development. Willingness to learn and continuously develop one's skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and support.
